BOOKS ABOUT ALASKA WRESTLING

hall of famer, STEVE WOLFE

Steve was an active teacher and coach in Homer for 30 years. He was inducted into the Alaska Wrestling Hall of Fame in 1990. Even at the age of 56, he continued to wrestle competitively. In 1991 he won his 9th consecutive State Championship in the Open Division and won the National Championship in Las Vegas for his age and weight. In his books, he describes wrestling in Alaska in the 80s and 90s with his detailed and often humorous storytelling. Steve Wolfe passed away in Homer in 2014.
